Sonia Kang
Sonia's multicultural experience is the basis for her brand. She was born in Puerto Rico to a Mexican-American mother and African-American father. She was raised in Hawaii before settling in California and marrying her Korean-American husband. Together they have 4 children they are raising as "mini global citizens". Being multiracial and raising multicultural children made her realize her life’s mission is to teach her children and others about the multicultural experience. Sonia developed a children’s clothing line, Mixed Up Clothing and a popular blog dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity and inclusion. Her multiethnic children’s clothing line is inspired by the textiles, cultures and people of the world, to develop friendships through fabrics. Sonia and her work has been seen on NBC’s Today show, Huff Post Live, NPR, Latina Magazine and InTouch. She has collaborated with celebrities Taye Diggs and Garcelle Beauvais. Celebrity fans of her clothing line include Tia & Tamera Mowry, Nicole Parker Ari and Boris Kdojoe, Modern Family's Aubrey Anderson and TLC's The Little Couple.
