The Sweet Spot: Intentional Revenue Generation

In my experience, most business owners (and hobbyists) jump right into spending time and money on marketing and sales without intentionally deciding what their return on time and money investment must be before taking the plunge. The result is spinning wheels, frustration, irritation, and disillusionment.

Business owners only meet their financial goals when they run their business in the sweet spot of intimately knowing how their revenue goals, products/services, and marketing/sales activities relate to one another. This requires the development of an intentional action plan. In simpler terms: Business owners need to determine their desired revenue and intentionally commit to specific products/services and the sales and marketing activities which best fit achieving their revenue goals.

This presentation is for people who desire to generate revenue. I provide this interactive presentation using simple handouts; taking participants through developing their personal salary needs, their business revenue needs, and identifying their pricing for services, products and the quantity of sales required (sales mix) to meet their revenue goals. This presentation is NOT meant for people who are running their business as a hobby and don’t “have to” or “need to” make money.

Participants must know or be willing to define in the session:
o What they are selling (ad space, coaching time, sponsorships, etc.)
o How much they are currently selling it for (rough $)
o How much they desire to draw from the business (salary) – what are their personal needs o How much their business costs to run (hosting, office space, vendors, etc.)
o How much their time is worth (if they had to pay themselves per hour, how much?)
